That’s right folks my first book is now for sale at all good online retailer’s (and also Amazon). The book Glen the Cockroach: A complete Fairytale is a dystopian novel, about Glen, an ageing thug and his struggle to be free of his past in a world that views him as an outsider.

Some synopsis for you…

Glen returns to his home town with his best friend Itch, hoping to build a better life for himself. He tries his best to find steady work and build better realtionships with his friend Itch, Itch’s girlfriend Ray and his mother. Most other people are afraid of him, partly due to his hulking frame, partly his hulking demeanour. After a particularly unhygienic meal Glen gets desperate and asks the otherwise less than dependable Itch to find him work. Itch sets Glen up with an old acquaintance who provides him with a successful contact. With tongs in hands and cigarette in mouth Glen finally starts to starts to find his place. Then the lights go out….

The lowdown…

The novel investigates the idea of fear in society, what it means, what it encourages people to do and how it isolates people who are different. It is a discussion on expectation and how our expectations shape our reality. Glen the Cockroach is told in the bursting variety of Australian accent’s that tell the unique stories of Australian people.
