Small face, looks up quietly
Wagged by the tail
As I tie you to the box
And walk inside,
Two creatures separated by walls
Two creatures separated by training
We didn’t know each other
Yet we were too well acquainted
Lessons taught were harshly learned
For both of us,
But you remained,
And I didn’t understand.
Perhaps, when my body is empty
And there is no more earth
They will place me beside you
With an arm across your shoulder
And we can sleep as you wanted
A dog and his human
Awww . Touching poem .
Dogs are really the best companions.
Btw Do participate in the Poetry competition I’ve organised
